How to Measure
How to Measure for a Custom Radiator Cover?
Accurate measurements are essential to ensure your custom radiator cover fits perfectly, allows proper airflow, and installs without issues. Follow the simple steps below to measure your radiator correctly before placing your order.
Step 1: Measure the Exact Radiator Size
Using a tape measure, carefully measure your radiator’s exact dimensions:
Height – from the floor to the top of the radiator
Width – from the far left edge to the far right edge
Depth – from the wall to the front of the radiator
Write down these exact measurements only—do not add extra inches at this stage.
Step 2: Add Required Clearance for Proper Fit
To ensure easy installation and proper heat circulation, please add the following clearances to your final submitted dimensions:
Add +1” to Height
Add +2” to Width
Add +1” to Depth
These added inches allow for airflow, paint thickness, and a clean, professional fit.
Step 3: Example Measurement
If your radiator’s exact dimensions are:
Height: 20”
Width: 20”
Depth: 10”
You should submit the following dimensions when ordering:
Height: 21”
Width: 22”
Depth: 11”
Important Notes
Measure only the radiator, not the existing cover.
Include pipes, valves, or baseboards unless instructed.
